Inspired
by the millwork craft and architecture of the Victorian
era, the stately Italianete Villa style structure is embellished
by its gingerbread gables, decks and balconies; a renovation
reminiscent of the summer boarding houses that existed along
the piers and beaches of the late 1800’s. This is
a one building facility with six rental units.
Although,
it looks and feels every bit like one, Union
Pier Summer House is not a Bed and
Breakfast or an Inn. We do not serve breakfast, meals or
offer 'room service', and is reflected in our competitive
rates. Our six
full suites are rented on the same basis as a fully
furnished vacation condo or apartment, otherwise known as
self-catered lodging.

Tastefully furnished in a country house theme, each suite
has its own private entrance, bathroom, living room, a choice
of 1 or 2 bedrooms, fully furnished with linens and towels,
a galley (efficiency) kitchenette, appliances, kitchenware,
"Free-to-guest" Cable TV and
WiFi Internet.. More details on our Amenities
page. These units are individually accessed. We do not have
common rooms or "dining hall" for large groups.
Flowering gardens accent the grounds
in the summer season. There are several outdoor picnic tables,
bbq grilles, and one extra large grill for groups. Our vacation
rental suites are available by the week or month during
Summer months, and weekend or partial week getaways during
the off season (Sept-May) at discount rates.(see Offseason
Rates) We also offer short term leases at special rates
during the winter months for those seeking temporary housing
Nov to May.
We
are a non-smoking facility. Sorry, we do not allow pets,
except for seeing eye dogs.
Families
with Children are welcomed. We
can accommodate large groups
up to 22 except during the months of July and August.
Due to high demand for Summer rentals in our area we do
not offer group discounts. We do however offer our standard
Internet Discount. We are
family owned and operated since 1987, and a member of the
Harbor Country Chamber of Commerce.

Being on the Internet may make us look larger than life.
We are in reality a quaint, family run little Michigan vacation
getaway that’s off the beaten path; not over stated
or overpriced, yet comfortable in quiet surroundings. Our
affordable rates are among the best value along lake Michigan.
A nice clean cozy place to stay, with nearby shops, restaurants,
and just one block to Lake Michigan! We have many
returning guests, so we recommend booking 4 to 6 months
in advance of the summer season. |
