The
following is our Deposit Payment Process to apply towards
reservation:
- Deposits are based on weekly
rates @ 30%, rounded at $5. Note: For multiple week
stays, just add the deposit amount per week. Once you
have contacted us and verified availability for a reservation,
mail your deposit (see Rates Page for appropriate amount by suite
nbr.) via U.S. Postal Service, payable to Union
Pier Summer House, and send to our address below. Deposits
are required for groups (booking two units or more)
or reunions booking less than full weeks or
weekends in the off-season and will be calculated at 30%
of the total BEFORE Internet Discount is deducted.
- Deposit must be received
within 7 days of your original reservation
request commitment to Confirm and Reserve the suite.
- Your suite will be placed
on a pending "Stand-by Status" while we wait for
receipt of deposit within 7 calendar days.
We do not "Hold" rental units for inquirers
who are still finalizing their vacation plans. Instead,
we have adopted the "Stand-by Status" on a
commitment to send a deposit to reserve a rental unit.
The Stand-by Status means we reserve the right to place
other requests on Stand-by behind you to fill the vacancy
should you change your plans or if deposit is
not received within the 7-day Stand-by period. In either
case, we will first attempt to contact you about this
disposition before we re-book the suite.

Upon receipt
of deposit, we will email our Confirmation to
the email address in the Reservation Request you
submitted, unless otherwise requested. |

emailed Confirmation will include check-in instructions
and indicate balance due after deposit and our
Internet discount if applicable |

Payment
terms for balance are check or cash on arrival.
We do not transact payment via credit card. |

Write a note on check for Suite# and dates
reserved. This
will help us to quickly identify and associate
the check with our current Stand-by list. |

do not send your check via Fed Ex or Express Mail.
This will actually delay the process. We are on
a rural mailing route and do not have an "office"
or full time personnel on site to sign for packages.
These types of deliveries frequently get returned
to the sender as undeliverable. |
